NEW SKILL-BASED GYMNASTICS CLASSES FOR SUMMER 2023 AND BEYOND!
Stars & Tykes (3-4 year olds) This gymnastics class is a fun and exciting way for young children to learn basic gymnastics skills in a safe and supportive environment. Our experienced instructors will introduce your child to the world of gymnastics through age-appropriate activities that promote physical fitness, coordination, and socialization. Your child will learn basic gymnastics positions, such as tuck, pike, and straddle, as well as simple movements like jumps, rolls, and balances. We use equipment that is designed for young children, including low balance beams, trampolines, and foam pit, to ensure that your child can safely explore the world of gymnastics and build their confidence and skills. KinderStars (5-6 year olds) This gymnastics class is designed to build on the skills learned in our younger classes and help children develop more advanced gymnastics abilities. Our instructors will help your child master skills such as forward rolls, handstands, cartwheels, and bridges, while also introducing more challenging movements like round-offs and back handsprings. We use equipment such as balance beams, vaulting tables, and bars to help your child learn new skills and improve their strength, balance, and coordination. Our focus is on helping your child develop their confidence and love for gymnastics in a supportive and fun environment. Every class begins with an active warm-up and stretch, followed by three rotations of events. The events they visit will alternate on a three week schedule to ensure they are exposed to adequate time on each event throughout the month. Rising Stars (7 years old and up) This is our intro to gymnastics class that is perfect for children ages 7 and up who are new to gymnastics or have limited experience. Our experienced instructors will help your child learn basic gymnastics skills such as rolls, handstands, cartwheels, and bridges. We use a variety of equipment such as balance beams, floor exercise, and uneven bars to challenge your child and help them develop their strength, flexibility, and coordination. Our focus is on building your child's confidence and helping them enjoy the benefits of gymnastics in a supportive and welcoming environment. Every class begins with an active warm-up and stretch, followed by three rotations of events. The events they visit will alternate on a three week schedule to ensure they are exposed to adequate time on each event throughout the month. Shooting Stars* (7 years old and up) This class is designed for gymnasts who have already mastered our Rising Stars class and are ready to take their gymnastics to the next level. In this class, our experienced instructors will focus on helping your child develop their technique and form, while also building their strength, flexibility, and endurance. Your child will learn more advanced skills such as round-offs, front and back handsprings on floor, back hip circles on bars. Our coaches will also work with your child to perfect their form and technique on skills such as cartwheels, bridge kickovers and back bends. We use a variety of equipment such as high balance beams, uneven bars, and tumble tracks to challenge your child and help them achieve their gymnastics goals. Our focus is on creating a supportive and encouraging environment that fosters growth and development in each gymnast. This class is perfect for gymnasts who are looking to improve their skills and take their gymnastics to the next level. We encourage our gymnasts to work hard, support their teammates, and have fun while learning and growing in their gymnastics journey. All events are incorporated each week to ensure adequate time on each event throughout the month. Superstars* (8 years old and up) This gymnastics class is designed for experienced gymnasts who have completed our Shooting Stars class. Our instructors will work with your child to develop their strength, flexibility, and technique through advanced skills such as connected tumbling on floor, kip drills on bars, dance elements and back walkovers on beam. The combination of these skills with strength and flexibility will help develop body awareness and safe execution of more advanced skills. Our focus is on helping your child develop their skills and achieve their goals, while also promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and a love for gymnastics. Every class begins with an active warm-up and stretch, followed by five rotations of different events. All events are incorporated each week to ensure adequate time on each event throughout the month. Classes with an * require an evaluation or instructor approval to enroll.
